Dr. Blake Raggio

Facial Plastic Surgeon

Dr. Blake Raggio approaches each procedure with comprehensive training, an artistic eye, and a strong appreciation for beauty. Completing his MD at the LSU School of Medicine of New Orleans, Dr. Raggio went on to complete an extensive Head & Neck Surgery residency at Tulane University Medical Center. From there, he was selected for a highly competitive fellowship program in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Toronto. He is currently a member of the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery, as well as a member of the American Board of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. He serves as the Facial Plastic surgeon for Alabama State University, Faulkner University, Auburn University at Montgomery, and Huntingdon College Athletic Departments. In addition, Dr. Raggio has authored over 40 medical journal articles and book chapters, educating his peers on various aspects of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Dr. John Bauer

Breast & Body Plastic Surgeon

A graduate from the Medical College of Pennsylvania, Dr. John Bauer is a board-certified surgeon with over 20 years of cosmetic and general plastic surgery experience. He trained residents for over a decade, has written questions to help train plastic surgeons, and is a senior board examiner. Dr. Bauer’s board certification is in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and he specializes in breast and body procedures. Dr. Bauer believes that the doctor-patient relationship is incredibly important, and that the best way to create an ideal treatment plan for rejuvenation is by having a compassionate ear, an aesthetic eye, and precise surgical skill.

Dr. Thomas Cawthon

Facial Plastic Surgeon

Dr. Thomas Cawthon is one of the top Otolaryngologists in Central Alabama. After attending the University of Georgia and receiving his Bachelor of Science degree from the prestigious School of Pharmacy, Dr. Cawthon continued his education and received a Medical Doctorate from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. After an internship at the Macon Hospital and a residency program at Tulane University, Dr. Cawthon joined the U.S. Army, where he served two years at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia and treated military personnel and volunteered his skills to teach medical students.

Michela King

Master Aesthetician

Michela graduated from the International School of Skin in Atlanta, Georgia, and continues to further her education in skincare. Michela is certified in chemical peels, permanent facial arts, microdermabrasion, and lasers. She is dedicated to customizing the appropriate skincare treatments and home care regimens for her patients. Michela is gifted in working with patients who suffer from acne, stubborn melasma, and scarring, and is able to easily find the proper product and treatment for their needs. In addition, Michela carries extensive knowledge and experience with laser and injectable cosmetic procedures, and can help instruct patients with post-treatment care.

Sherri Turenne

Registered Nurse

As a registered nurse, Sherri assists her doctors with preparation of injectables and surgical procedures at River Region Facial Plastics. She is also a liaison between patients and their families with post-surgical care and their contact during recovery. Under the guidance of physicians, Sherri performs laser treatments, chemical peels, dermaplaning, Dermapen® treatments, and skincare consultations. She is an integral part of patient education and treatment with skincare and treatments for the aging face. Sherri has been a nurse since 1996. She first started out at CCU, Ortho Neuro, ED and open-heart surgery. She graduated from Valdosta State University in 1993 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology and Sociology. She graduated from Auburn University, earning her Bachelor’s of Science in nursing. She has been a nurse for many years, and has extensive experience in the field. She is currently enrolled in a Nurse Practitioner Program to further her education.

Wallene Prudames

Patient Coordinator

Wallene is the Patient Care Coordinator and has been with River Region for eight years. She has been involved in the beauty industry, beginning with a career as a makeup artist at the Neiman Marcus store in Atlanta, Georgia; then an account executive with Lancôme, and then a trainer for makeup artists at a private agency. Upon moving to Alabama, she became involved in the real estate industry, and ultimately returned to my first love: helping people find a way to take care of their beauty concerns. It has been a most rewarding experience. In her free time, Wallene travels, spends time with her wonderful children and three beautiful granddaughters, two wonderful dogs, and wonderful friends. She loves entertaining and trying new recipes. In her time within the industry, Wallene has come to the conclusion that there’s nothing more beautiful than a person who takes care of their skin!

Stacy Lacoste

Receptionist

Stacy is our front office coordinator. She comes from a background of outside sales in the cellular phone industry, skincare sales as well as makeup sales. Stacy has sold a variety of pharmaceutical grade skincare lines such as Environ, SkinCeuticals, SkinMedica, and Obaji.

She has been working for the industry of cosmetic surgeries, fillers, and Botox for over 10 years. She enjoys seeing the transformations that are made daily whether big or small that puts a smile on people’s faces. She can assist clients in choosing the best products and or services for their needs.

During her free time, Stacy enjoys traveling with her husband while doing trade shows for their business. Her favorite vacation spot is the beach. Her Education includes a B.S. in Business Administration from Lee.
