Brazilian butt lift in Montgomery, AL

Many individuals want a curvier, sexier derrière, but no matter how much they work out, it seems that their butt stays flat, saggy, small, low, or disproportionate. A Brazilian butt lift is a highly effective, very popular gluteal enhancement procedure that has boosted the confidence and body love of many patients in the Montgomery, AL area.

How a Brazilian butt lift works

A Brazilian butt lift is actually a combination of two procedures: liposuction and fat transfer. The liposuction will remove fat from an area of the body where you can spare it (usually the hips, abdomen, lower back, or thighs), purify it, then transfer it to the buttocks, where it will provide volume and shape for gluteal enhancement. This means that two areas of your body will be improved, which is one of the reasons a BBL is so popular. In addition, because a Brazilian butt lift uses your body’s own tissues, there is no risk of an allergic reaction.

What a Brazilian butt lift cannot do:

  • Reduce or remove loose, excess skin. If your main issue is sagging skin on the buttocks, a Brazilian butt lift isn’t right for you.
  • Volumize the buttocks if there’s not enough fat on the patient’s body. If you’re very lean, you simply may not have enough “donor fat” to use.

Key benefits of a Brazilian butt lift

  • Provides a very organic and natural-looking appearance and feel
  • Removes fat from the donor area
  • Minimal discomfort and scarring
  • Thickness and texture of the skin is improved
  • No risk of allergy or bad reaction
  • No implants mean no wound rupturing, implant exposure, or infection
  • Improves balance and proportion between the upper and lower body
  • Boosted self-confidence and elevated attractiveness
  • Results last for years

Preparing for a Brazilian butt lift

There are several things to do before your gluteal enhancement to make your recovery easier. You’ll need to arrange for a ride home from your procedure, as well as a friend or family member to assist you for at least 24 hours afterward. You should also stock your home with the items you’ll need during recovery. These include antibacterial soap for your incisions; easy-to-access healthy snacks and easy-to-prepare meals; ice packs, and a donut pillow to sit on.

Brazilian butt lift procedure details

A Brazilian butt lift consists of two parts: liposuction and fat transfer. The first step is the mark-up. Both the area that is getting new fat and the incision sites will be outlined with a marker to help guide Dr. Bauer.

After this, you’ll then receive anesthesia or intravenous sedation with local anesthesia to make you comfortable.

Small incisions will be created near the part of your body where fat will be taken (usually the abdomen, hips, thighs, or back), and the liposuction procedure will begin to remove the fat. Once the liposuction is finished, the removed fat will be purified and placed into a syringe — where it will be administered via injections into targeted areas of the buttocks.

The fat is injected in between muscle layers, near a blood supply, so that the fat survival is more likely. Because your fat contains stem cells that create new tissue, your skin’s thickness and texture will also be improved from this process. The incisions will be closed with sutures, and a compression garment will be placed to help with healing. The procedure time takes 2 to 3 hours.

Recovery

The majority of Brazilian butt lift patients are able to return to work within 10 to 14 days; however, there are some important things to be aware of regarding recovery. For most individuals, the hardest part of healing is not being able to sit down properly or sleep on your back for about two weeks. (Bathroom visits are the exception, and a donut pillow can be used after two weeks.)

It will also be about two months before being able to sit the way you used to. During recovery, it’s also important to take short walks to help with circulation. The best way to heal properly from a Brazilian butt lift is to follow the home care instructions that we provide, and to avoid doing too much activity too soon.

Results

Early results will be apparent immediately after the procedure, but expect some swelling for approximately two weeks. Final results are typically settled at six months. Weight fluctuations may cause the outcome to change, but if you remain at a stable weight, results last for years.
