It’s incredibly important to look as good as you feel, and more and more men are interested in improving the appearance of their face and/or body to feel confident and get more out of life.
Who is a good candidate?
If you’re unhappy with an area of your face and/or body and you’re interested in improving it, good for you. Once you improve the area(s) you have an issue with, you’ll feel more confident and better about yourself. Men who make ideal candidates for cosmetic procedures are those who want a change in their appearance, but have realistic expectations for what the procedure can accomplish.
Are the procedures performed differently for men than for women?
While the technique for male procedures may be similar to those of female procedures, it’s important to select a plastic surgeon with an artist’s eye and plenty of experience in order to keep the features masculine. A good surgeon will also understand the many nuances of the male body — for example, men have stronger facial muscles with more mass than women have, and different hairlines must also be considered.
What will healing be like?
Many of our male patients are concerned with the healing process after an aesthetic procedure. Unlike females, most men don’t wear makeup that can camouflage bruising, but at the same time, they want to get back to work as quickly as possible. However, recovery time after any procedure is very important both for results and for healing. During your consultation, we will give you an estimate of how long it will take to recover, as well as details about what to avoid and steps to take to help the process go smoothly.
