What’s the difference between Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, and Jeuveau?
While Botox is the most well-known neuromodulator, there are others that are excellent products. At Montgomery MedSpa, we also offer Dysport and Xeomin along with Botox, and one of the most commonly asked questions is what the difference is between them. While the products are all very similar and derived from different strains of the same toxin, the differences between them include ingredients, onset, dosage, and manufacturing. Botox
Key Benefits: Ideal for treating all areas, especially smaller areas
Onset: Approximately 10 to 14 days
Results: 3 to 6 months
Possible side effects: Bruising; swelling or pain at the injection site; flu-like symptoms; headache; nausea; redness; temporary facial drooping

Key Benefits: Excellent for last-minute treatments because of faster results; ideal for treating larger areas (i.e., the forehead) because of diffusion
Onset: Approximately 24 hours to 3 days
Results: 4 to 6 months
Possible side effects: Bruising; swelling or pain at the injection site; flu-like symptoms; muscle weakness; headache; nausea; redness; temporary facial drooping; muscle pain or stiffness; neck or back pain
Xeomin
Key Benefits: A good option for those who have stopped responding to Botox® or Dysport®
Onset: Approximately 10 days
Results: 6 months
Possible side effects: Bruising; redness; swelling or pain at the injection site; flu-like symptoms; headache; nausea; redness; temporary facial drooping; neck pain; dry eyes; fatigue; blinking less than usual
